| Today, was the 1st CG Household of the year (yea! clap it up). I'll summarize it with a story that a priest told me. This story has totally changed my perspective on life...and things.
" There was a man cutting down a large tree for the years stock of firewood. He kept cutting and cutting and gradually the blade was getting dull. A man passed by and asked him why he was cutting with a dull blade and told him to go and sharpen it. The man refused saying that it would take to much time and he went back trying to cut down the tree."
This story says so much about life. We become to pre-occupied with the tasks at hand that we forget to sharpen our faith, our prayer time, our relationships, etc that we get tired. Just as we think we are accomplishing things we really are slowing things down. So, this is a message for all who read this. Take some time to sharpen that blade.

2005 has been a year of "GROWTH". God has shown me how to love better, to work better, to serve better, to live better and to do everything for the glory of God.
With 2005 all said and done I've named 2006 to be a year of (where my snare at) "MATURATION". I figured that it follows the natural cycle of growth and it is required. It produces results, it is decisive, it is wise and it is steadfast in it values and beliefs. But, who knows, God might have a different plan for me.
Anyways, here are my Top 10 goals of 2006 (not in order)
- Buy a house
- Finish my Accounting Degree
- At least 30 participants for the Yellowknife Camp
- At 60 participants for the Campus Based Camp
- Go to Vienna for the GAW
- Have 100% attendance for the Montreal Conference
- Hit 200 pounds
- Tryout for the Huskies football team as wide reciever
- Find a good Job
- A very successful GK dinner in March.
So there it is!!
